Sarri Says He Is Impressed by Miranchuk from Lokomotiv
Maurizio Sarri, the manager of the Italian football club Juventus, after their game with Lokomotiv Moscow in the group stage of UEFA Champions League admitted that he was surprised by the decision of Yuri Semin to play with five defenders.
Sarri also mentioned he was impressed by the performance of Aleksei Miranchuk, Lokomotiv’s midfielder. It should be noted that it was Miranchuk who scored the goal on the 30th minute. However, one scored goal was not enough to emerge victorious as Juventus’s Dybala eventually managed to score a brace. Besides that, Sarri said that Lokomotiv is a good team that knows how to make it very hard for their opponents to get shots.
In the first half of the game Lokomotiv showed a great defence, as well as managed to execute one successful attack. The Russian club used the same tactic in the second half, however Juventus was able to significantly increase the tempo of the game and force their opponents into a deep defence. Dybala managed to score a goal at the 77th minute with his left leg being outside of the penalty area. Two minutes later Dybala scored the second goal with assist of Alex Sandro.
Currently the first place of Group D is shared between Juventus and Club Atletico de Madrid, with both of them having 7 points. Lokomotiv Moscow is placed 3rd with 3 points. Juventus will face Lokomotiv once again next month, on November 6th. This time the game will be played on Russian turf, at RZD Arena in Moscow.
